The Crane House, as pictured above, didn't always look like that - the building itself has a long history of modifications and additions, all originating from around 1820. It was around this time that the Town of Prescott was establishing itself as a crucial player in the forwarding trade, where people and merchandise were moved from larger vessels to smaller vessels in order to cross the rapids that separate what is today Toronto, and Montreal.

A crucial player in that industry was Samuel L. Crane, and one of the first owners of what is now known as the "Crane House".

The Homes

There is something majestic about a stone building. With 11-foot ceilings on the main floor, 24 inch stone walls, and standing over 30 feet tall - Crane House Estates is something to behold.

Using Heritage Craftmanship, extreme attention to detail, and a love for the surrounding community, we have re-built a centerpiece of Prescott, located a short walk from the edge of the St. Lawrence.

We have preserved the Heritage designation of the Crane House, and restored it to its previous exterior glory, while offering the latest amenities inside. Premium finishes, beautiful interior stone walls, custom cabinetry and restored wood finishes are just a few of the amazing features of Crane House Estates.
